Valentine’s Day Approacheth

Have you sent out any Valentine’s cards yet?
I am still in the doghouse for not getting our family holiday, New Year’s, Valentine card sent out.
(I haven’t even made it yet. How about an Earth Day card?)
Here is an astonishing story of love, via the Washington Post, culled from the Web by my sweetheart.
But before you watch that, please help me welcome Leiah Bowden to the Out of the Mouths of Babes blog series. Writing about love and the paths we take in our lives, Leiah’s perspective on where love lives for her is filled with her intrinsic sense of play and vivid imagery. I met and fell in love with Leiah last May at the Women’s Writing Art Matrix workshop at Skidmore College. I will be leading a workshop there this coming May.
So, savor Leiah’s wisdom and the tender story of these two lovers.
Notice what color he calls his partner.

Time to get gluey,

Thank you for sharing the wonderful story about Bill and Shelly. It is what Valentine’s Day is all about – not cards, not candy, not flowers, not fancy dinners soon forgotten. Just pure and undiluted love. It is said, that when a baby is born, the angels work very hard to find that special person that they will spend the rest of their lives with. I think the angels worked over-time for Bill and Shelly.
