Bonus Daily Happiness for Kathy Drue from your Playmate:

I just read this as I was waiting for my scanner to work. It is from a yoga magazine from which I tore this quote to use in a collage that is here on my desk:
Reflections of Inner Joy
If you make a habit of this practice, you’ll probably notice how it begins to refine your perceptions, so that over time you find yourself experiencing the life around you with much greater pleasure.
How perfect is that?
Daily Happinesses day two.
How about you?
With affection and red currants, S

SBB- You are such a wizz. Look that crazy camper’s toaster I gave you is already part of today’s daily happinesses!
It sure made me happy when I discovered it in the Wisp Store at Wellsley Island State Park in The 1,000 Islands.
So glad we shared those fine red currents together this evening.
Happy to be with you and our families , happy to be painting “en plein air” at Naumkeg with my enthusiastic students this afternoon, happy to be dampened by a sudden summer rain amidst the gardens, happy to be going to bed! good night, ((hugs)) Karen

Bonus daily happiness! How I love that, Suzi.
Here is my morning list so far today
1) empty house–oh so still–infinite possibilities!
2) rich french vanilla in coffee at 5:30 a.m. sipped while husband prepared to leave for Isle Royale Fishin’ trip.
3) leftover pizza last night laden with garden onions and brocoli and cilantro. Eaten at 10:30 a.m. just because!
4) crisp white lined notebook paper which will soon be filled with a “letter to self” while hot black tea steams down the throat.
5) A computer where thoughtful friends arise like mist out of the unfolding morning.
oh oh oh! almost forgot 6) baby raccoons on the side of the road. And I got pics UP CLOSE!
Hurray!
Love you Ms. Suzi of Happiness & Silken Thread…

Isn’t it true? The key to happiness is to see it, to name it, every single day, even the dark ones. But how fab does your day sound?? Almost as good as the day I (FINALLY) picked up mail last week, only to find a special piece of gorgeousness all my own awaiting me. Thank you, FeMail sister, goddess of goodness and glue. You are the best!!

Oh, that’s our toaster! We use it everyday
I love Paige’s comment “The key to happiness is to see it, to name it, every single day, even the dark ones” – nicely summed up.
My Daily Happiness as it stands at noon on this particular day:
1. not having to get up and go to work in the mornings
2. having the freedom to decide how I’m going to spend my day each and every day
3. bagels and coffee, mmm
4. vegemite
5. mega jump (iPhone game I am currently addicted to)
6. my partner – my god how lucky I am…
7. blog comments (thank you Suzie)
8. e-friends
9. my blog!
10. looking forward to a picnic lunch cobbled together from yummy farmers market finds
Wow, at the beginning I thought I wouldn’t be able to think of anything but that was too easy! What a wonderful daily exercise – I think you’re onto something Suzie!
