Scarlet Runner Bean Progress Report
Close readers may be wondering what has become of the Scarlet Runner Bean I planted while I was with the Vibrant Visionary Collagists at Kripalu. I posted about that very bean here in March.

Now, months later with a bit of benign neglect that very bean is happy under the laundry line. I took this photo today at 12 noonish.
I am terrified. I agreed to read from my manuscript of my book that goes by the same name as this blog, on Tuesday at Deb Koffman’s Artspace in Housatonic. None of the pieces I want to read come in at less than 5 minutes. Do I hurry it along? Or make a cut, just for the sake of the reading?
I am not only terrified. I am thrilled.
And there are gooseberries to make in to fool, which is one of my absolute favorite things to do in my whole life.
That is the name of the piece I will read “The Gooseberry Fool”.
I am happy about the Scarlet Runner Bean.
I am happy to have said yes to the reading.
I am happy to have a moment here, at the Laundry Line.
Thank you for stopping in!
